Unable to reset profile data

I simply wanted to reset my progression in Battlefield 2042. When I reached out to chat with support they stated that they cannot do that for me either. Why isn't this an option? A lot of the fun in this game is unlocking the different attachments, vehicles, and accessories. 

There a work around for this? Why isn't this a feature?
