I am trying to work on unlocking the VHX assault weapon. One of the missions is get 5 headshot kills in one life. Is there a certain map that is better for sniping on? Guessing using a sniper rifle will be my best bet to get this mission done? Got a feeling this will take a while to get. Also one thing to note is I am fairly new to this game so I am not that high of level and don't have a lot of accessories unlocked yet.

@Hammerhead2500 The server info isn’t in portal or coop, it’s info from EA that forum users picked up. Setting up a portal mode is both easy and silly in that it is very limited what you can do.Step 1 pick mode.Step 2 pick maps.Step 3 go directly to AI page, change nothing on any of the pagesStep 4 select PVP AI. Change nothing else.Step 5 save the experience. Name it and stuff then save.Step 6 check the save, it should have a limited mastery and weekly missions lit up.Any other changes make it not an official experience and gives no mastery.

@Hammerhead2500Respect to all the others, don’t start a Co-Op. Dice moved it to 20hz servers and it’s a miserable experience. Go to the Portal Editor and set yourself up with your map of choice and go to town in 45hz. When you save your choices, make sure it shows the Limited Mastery and also Weekly Missions. You can complete any weekly in those as well as ranking up weapons and gear to T3. Totally worth it. Need a long marksman headshot? Set up Hourglass or Breakaway. Need SMG kills? Redacted or Stranded of course 😉 If you need a tutorial on Portal just google it, there’s lots of videos out there. GL!

@Hammerhead2500 Just load up a coop match (I usually use Redacted or Stranded for unlocks) and beat up the bots. You can use any gun you like so long as the kill-shot is to the head if memory serves.

I created a new experience on the battlefield portal website and didn't see anything about limited mastery or weekly missions. I did watch one video on portal setup and didn't see anything about that either. I must have did something wrong. Not getting any progression on weapon unlocks. I do get player xp but no types of badges or anything.
Where do you see coop servers are 20hz and portal is 45hz and what does that pertain to?. Didn't see anything about that in the editor. I have played a few rounds of coop and no trouble for the most part. One round it was pretty bad, kept freezing but I think that was an issue with my computer, anything I tried to do was real slow

@GrizzGolf depends what you are looking for, VHX still probably one of the more jack of all trades ARs with its high RPM and consistency.
AM40 is I believe top3 weapon in the game. SMG wise PP remains supreme. DMR depends on your input device since they are all objectively better with controllers, LMGs RPT would be my guess but I do not play them a lot. 12M is the only viable shotty really, snipers couldn't care less

@X-Sunslayer-XI think your list is pretty accurate, I see a lot of the M5 AR, which I use myself usually. Still best all around IMO. Fighting outside? Extended Standard mag. Going inside? Close quarter rounds and short barrel. This thing is a beast. You can even plink at range with a 6x and long barrel with HiPower rounds. Single shot only of course lol!
