@Ironhead841 I agree but let's be honest, most Battlefield players never played BF2 and don't realize we had 6 man squads, a fighting commander with radar stations and 7 classes. BF3 was a consolidation of some of BF2's classes and worked rather well for the average BF player.

IMO BF went downhill after 2142. Nothing can compare to BF2 and 2142. The rush of going behind enemy lines to destroy the commander's assets was awesome. And then waiting for the enemy commander to drop a supply crate to repair their assets only for you to resupply yourself with C4 to destroy them again. Fun times. If only they would bring it to Portal.
Yep, got to agree with that, I probably sunk more time into BF2 and BF2142 each than any BF game since.
@Ironhead841Same here. My playtime has decreased for each BF game that has come since.
My funniest memory was when me and my friends were playing on the map MASHTUUR CITY and we were assaulting one of the flags and I looked up and a destroyed transport chopper was falling out of the sky and landed right on top of one of my friend's head. We laughed so hard at that and my friend was like WTF?

I’ve heard that so many times that BF2 was quite the experience. I unfortunately missed out on that one. I also heard 2142 was epic. I’m so jealous. I didn’t start playing until Bad Company 2.
The game needs a Commander role or something. We need direction and goals to work towards. There’s no leadership in Battlefield currently.
