DICE TeamWhat do you like?
- After playing with them for a bit and getting used to them, I like the class changes. It rewards and strengthens the kind of teamplay that 2042 already had while introducing fun new opportunities. My buddy and I have been using the tracer dart + javelin combo to annihilate snipers, gets us laughing every time.
- The weapon proficiencies can be extremely impactful if you're smart with them. Idk if y'all intended this or not, but the +3 AR mags prof for Assault applied to rifle grenades... so if I have 3 UGLs in my plus menu, I can carry a whopping 18 rifle grenades without needing to resupply! Insanity.
What do you dislike?
- Big boy B O R I S remains underwhelming. His turret just isn't impactful enough to be worth throwing down in most situations. I would suggest GREATLY increasing the range to trigger Boris's passive. I also think that he should be able to choose whether to throw down an anti-infantry turret or an anti-vehicle turret (similar to Irish choosing APS or cover). Infantry turret is an LMG similar to its current implementation while vehicle turret is a portable SAM launcher or rocket pod launcher of sorts with much longer lock on time, possibly even triggering vehicle lock detection. I think that this would give Boris a much more impactful role. Perhaps this increased power can be balanced by...
Anything you'd like to see changed?
- ... build time! Now that all engineers carry repair tools, I think that it would make sense for Boris and Crawford's gadgets to spawn as normal but be able to be "upgraded." This would further cement their role of constructing weapon emplacements, and it would also allow space for Boris and Crawford's gadgets to be higher-impact by requiring risk and time investment.
- Oh also let B O R I S stick his turret on walls and ceilings.
- Also let me put a Boris turret in the flatbed of a pickup trucks and drive it around.
- Make Boris buffer. Like not even gameplay wise, I mean like make him look like a Gears of War character, just comically out of place, I want to see some vascular old man muscles.
