Basically, rebuild the whole game from scratch, which would of course be idiotic and not really feasible or financially prudent.
the ship has sailed on generic soldiers. they will not give up the ability to sell skins. that means that specialists are here to stay in the franchise. once EA creates a revenue stream they will keep it at all costs (look at fifa)
@PsubondIt's a shame, and I agree with you. I always look with envy at the 'generic' soldiers in BF3.
The other option is to start with generic soldiers for each faction, and sell appearance modifiers e.g. face, hair, pieces of uniforms, etc.
- ATFGunr3 years agoLegend@Lancelot_du_Lac That’s exactly what they could do. Both sides have certain generic soldiers, and then faction specific skins to flog. Want a gold AK? That’s 1500 boins. Some will buy. I won’t, but I never do.
@Ironhead841, I agree with you that the it’s far too late to revert this whole game to traditional classes. While generic soldiers may not work anymore due to corporate greed, certainly faction specific soldiers and corresponding skins could form part of the next BF (if they bother to make one).
