What do I dislike?
C5 being available for the Assault class is not good. Assault is already capable of slaughtering enemy infantry with self heal, plates, and very powerful specialist gadgets. Having the ability to solo any enemy ground vehicle is just too strong. C5 should only be Recon and possibly Engineer gadget.
Claymore being all class gadget also makes no sense. It should be a recon-exclusive gadget. as it doesn't make sense for AT, medic/support class. Assault is also geared for a different kind of gameplay that doesn't necessarily involve claymoring a certain areas.
Anything to see changed?
I believe you've mentioned that claymores won't be allowed to be placed near ziplines/ladders. This isn't the case. Especially annoying on Breakaway and Exposure. If you use vertical lines, you cannot see potential claymore until it's too late. Even if you see it and break the zip, claymore still triggers for a kill and there is absolutely no way to counter that. Again, make it recon-exclusive.
Make C5 Recon/Engineer only.
Lis missile is way too agile. I've tried it myself and was able to shoot down multiple helis in my first game with little to no experience using her TGM. Rocket mobility needs a nerf.

@UP_LordPlumberYeah I agree with C5. I think it all comes down to the current specialist balance. There's gonna be 14 specialist. Yet a huge huge majority of people only play the same 4. Mackay, sundance, falyk, and angel. That's probably why assault has C5. Wouldn't be surprised if DICE KNOWS that if they take away C5, people wont adapt. They'll *, complain, throw bad reviews everywhere, and throw a fit. Just look at some of the replies in this thread. People over here saying assault got nerfed too hard and they need more than just C5. That's the type of audience that plays this game.
Issue right now is the other 9 specialist are so bad. Nobody wants to run anything other than Lis because there aren't enough people playing ammo crate/regular launchers to even take on most vehicles. There' SO MANY games where I have to play Lis the entire freaken time because there's some stealth heli nobody can kill. Or vehicles are not getting any pressure at all.
Nobody is marking as recon because nothing happens. Rarely does it seem like rockets hit marks.
People are running engineers, but very few of them are running AA. Which means Lis is required in her current state because things like stealth helis would be straight up unkillable.
Someone keeps spawning in the AA wildcat and you have no idea where they are or what they're doing with it.
Everyone in armor is sitting back sniping with them because if you get close you get decimated by C5.
Claymore eh, I don't care too much. Most people I find run other gadgets anyways. Assault is always plating or C5. But if they remove C5, I can see many more people running claymores.
I think it comes down to incentivzation. They need to incentivize people to play Support and actually support. To play ammo crate. To play engineer and actually pick something like AA or things other than Lis. To play recon and actually mark. Right now they're doing an absolute * job at this and it creates all these bad experiences and gameplay loops as a result.
Right now the current state of the balance, to me, is they have all these cheese. And they created this cheese to counter cheese already in the game that would take too much time/labor to actually fix. Stealth heli sitting inside of stealth mode bombing people all game is cheese. So they have Lis cheese to counter stealth heli cheese. Assault having insane mobility with grappling hooks that propell you at mach 5 or you fly around like an airplane with a wingsuit, combined with C5 means armor rarely stands a chance close range. So to counter that cheese, they put in a sniping railgun tank cheese. And now this CAV sounds like it may have some cheese to counter the assault cheese.
I guess if everyone has unbalanced cheese, nobody is unbalanced. But god damn I would love to play the game and not feel like I'm handicapping myself for not playing Sundance/Mackay/Falyk/Angel/Lis. This entire specialist system was such a disaster for balance.- 3 years ago@Defias123 The stealth heli is so easy to kill if you're in any other aircraft. It's completely vulnerable to jets/nightbird/hind. I kill them all the time. I make it my priority when I see one. They are too slow to fight back in the air and most of them pick 30mm to farm infantry and the 30mm is bad against other aircraft.

Claymores have the range of a bear trap. They are useless.
EOD Bot controls way too sensitive
Sentry Turret beyond useless
The one Specialist that can go vertical (McKay) can't use the spotting device (SOFLAM)
Like:
Smoke grenade makes smoke.
I don't understand. Why have a sniper "class" when any character can use a snipe rifle?
