Mackey and Paik should be switched around, seems weird. Mackey is more sniper ishy, and Paik is more, spot you through obstacles and jump around the corner and shoot you ishy........
- ADS nerf ruins gameplay
- Thermal optics are ridiculous OP
- Armor plates should be removed completely
I'm quite happy with the rest of the changes so far tbh. It might be just me but it feels like the overall gameplay feels more grounded. It feels like there is finally some weight.
Hello, I saw a video where it's not broken. Have you tried to restore default controls?
The class sytem definately needs more work.
There needs to be a default (custom) loadout saved for each specialist.
I used to have 7 loadouts (Assault, medic, recon-long, recon-CQ, AA, AT, Angel/support).
Now I have 4 and they're not always as refined as the situation requires.
Swapping specialists and loadouts is not as easy and definately not as fast.
I used to swap loadouts all the time.
Not sure I will be quite as quick to swap equipment to suit the tactical requirements as right now it's just too clunky.
I don't mind the class restrictions (I'm all for them), but there needs to be a faster way to swap to a greater number of pre-set loadouts (see above...a saved loadout for each specialist would work just fine).
Grenade on L2 (on console, PS5) works well.
The Javelin seems to lock on very quickly. Maybe make it a bit more powerful with a bit longer lock-on?
Clearly the Assault class with med pen, armour plates and extra ammo is going to be the meta till things get balanced (not that it wasn't obvious beforehand).
It's going to push players toward COD style gameplay more than ever (just to be clear.....that's not a good thing).
It's also a pretty selfish style of play.....not really what I expect from Battlefield, but then the game doesn't really seem to be aimed at team-based gameplay anymore does it?
BF2042 always has and still feels like a squad-based game (but without a number of vital squad command and control functions).
The Breakaway map (Conquest) seems good but the outer points don't really influence the game much.
Whoever holds the rig seems to win the match.
I'll certainly give it a bit more time to let all the new stuff settle and try a few of the other maps and modes.
Pretty sure the current changes aren't enough to bring back the "old school" players.....and it's likely lost a few of the new players.
Going to COD / APEX route didn't work out (given the massive decline in player numbers).
If you're going to go "old school", don't do it half baked.....go all the way.
Kap.
I can't equip Recoilless on so many specialists, including Sundance, Zain, Angel, are you kidding me?
Zain gets medpen, specialist that can heal himself anyway, he doesn't need this at all.
So in order to equip Recoilless you can do it with only two Specialists, Boris and Crawford, they are probably in top 3 the most boring ones.
@EA_Leeuw i found an error on the website in the patch notes:
M39 EMR
Significantly lighter than the “OG” M14, this rifle comes with match-grade 7.52mm long range ammo and a standard 8X Rifle Scope to position it as an adaptable, medium range Sniper Rifle.
7.52mm? M39 EMR is a 762 NATO rifle.
If you set your grenades to automatic throw in settings it will throw both grenades consecutively with one button press.
