@ATFGunr After overnight scans spent the morning so far deleting a virus that was eating up my storage, but still need to recover the lost GBs! But sort of answered part of the problem. I've got that new EA launcher that does not offer repair (not that I can find anyway) and the original Origin isn't available anymore. I've managed to claw back around 4GB so far but usually run with 15 - 20 GB free - but this has never stopped updates to date. The EA app insists that the update needs 72GB. Even after clearing 4GB from the drive, the launcher still says I only have 27Mb.
Thanks for that anyway.... need to get some work done... but will run scans and clean-up over the day and probably reinstall the launcher. A bloody pain though!

@lzilchetl You’ll find repair under the “manage” button, it will open another menu. EA App isn’t super intuitive lol. Good luck.

But guessing, there would be no sense in offering that for an app that has started an installation. I'll look there first net time (next time?!)
