Upgrading bf2042
Is there anyway to actually upgrade bf2042 from the Xbox one edition to series x without buying the entire game all over again? I already own the Xbox one edition, but really don't feel like paying $...

Xbox One Standard Edition cannot be upgraded to Series S/X Edition, but the Cross-Gen, Gold, and Ultimate Editions for Xbox One can download the Series S/X Edition.
The disc version also can't download cross-gen versions. If a disc version of 2042 is purchased on Series X/S, you won't be able to download the Xbox One version of 2042 and play it in backwards compatibility mode. But if you buy the digital version you can.
It's like we need an instruction manual to figure out what we're buying.
That's so stupid dude, why would they not offer an upgrade to the game instead of trying to make you rebuy it ALL OVER AGAIN, like every other AAA company has been offering??
It makes your fan base have that much more faith in you as a company
I imagine it'll be hitting EA Play shortly. (BFV went on EA Play in June 2019, eight months after launch).
There's a process out there to get Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (which includes EA Play) for pretty cheap when you upgrade your remaining Xbox Live time. I believe it can be as cheap as $170 for three years of Game Pass Ultimate. More money for sure, but you get way way more added benefits.
