@Tank2042ManEehhh… no they dont
Most vehicles get blown up by C5 drones which is by no means the intended way of use and will get fixed later.
Currently most vehicles die from either M5 Recoiless or other vehicles, if some vehicles overextend and push into enemy territory it will most likely also get C5‘d but that’s that.
The third person view in vehicles gives you an superior wider view area that you normally would not see in first person view, prime example here is the Bolte.
Your gunner cant see jack.shiat but the driver can tell him that there is someone behind that Rock and hides or in what direction an enemy is, left, Right, from behind etc.
Third Person view has absolutely no place in first person games, especialy not in vehicles otherwise I demand third person view for infantry so I can see arround cover or obstacles.
It's pretty much enshrined in Battlefield that 3P view is a core feature while 1P is hardcore. It makes the act of flying and driving a lot smoother and I think it can be balanced. For example, tanks have slower turret speed and jets have large cannon spread. Restricting to 1P without any other accommodations really restricts vehicle performance - especially aircraft as they have to spend an inordinate amount of time searching for targets. In hardcore you have the lower infantry health so that helps make up for it
I really don't see it ever being removed from core though because it would eliminate all those cinematic "Battlefield Moments" and EA wants those for publicity and content creators want those for clicks.
