3rd person view in vehicles in BF4 and BF1 was far to much of an advantage given the accuracy of 3rd person crosshairs.
I accept that 3rd person view is often essential when driving around some areas of some maps and I'm fine with that but 3rd person view firing should not be so good that it becomes almost the default view for everyone in all circumstances.
There needs to be a 'downside' to it given the advantages gained.

Have you tried to spend at least a couple of shootouts from the third person? Maximum in this mode, you can quickly shoot back from the infantry that got close. The aiming system from a third person is curved and not adaptive, unlike BF3,4

I get that tis is probably more directed at helicopters, but the knock on effect would be that tanks which are already obsolete battlefield decoration. 3rd person only would kill the slow lumbering beasts.
Infantry can fly, traverse small buildings in a single bound, parachute from 100ft without damage, jump from two story buildings, use a transporter device to reanimate anywhere near a squadmate. All the while carrying phaser rifles, lock on grenades, self guided rpgs, Rpgs, Olympic distance throwing C4.
It worked well in Hardcore modes becuase they where more grounded.
