lets be honest here... the main issue concerning vehicles is the lack of any skillceiling whatsoever...
- tanks take the same amount of DMG no matter where and how you hit them... defeating any skillrequirement in positioning and armor placement
- tanks have next to no counter to the sheer amount of rockets-spam in form of M5s, Liz-Missles, AGMs from jets and helos
- every air vehicle has very powerful splash-DMG wepons (50mm/30mm/grenade pods/mortar-shells/.....) defeating most any aimrequirement beyond hit the cluster and see the skulls pop up
- vehicle handeling is an absolute shell of what it used to be
- countermeasures like reactive armor or player operated thropy-system on tanks are entirely absent
and this is just the tip of the iceberg....
I mainly play infantry but it does not take a lot to understand that the entire system regarding vehicles in 2042 is just designed to appease the lowest possible base...
so DICE needs to put in the effort to make skillful play more rewarding, and that is the very least they need to do....
but i might as well wish for easter and christams to be on teh same day
Yeah, I agree completely with this sentiment.
The lack of specific zones on a vehicle that grant bonus damage, makes it frustrating as an engineer. Especially if you are able to land rear shots on tanks.
But then also letting tanks have some defense wouldn't hurt. But I don't want them to be invincible. But have enough survivability that 1 person isn't taking out tanks.
The vehicle handling is also very atrocious. They just don't move like you would expect.
