Isn't that what the Subsonic ammo is for?
@PantleonPerhaps, but audio spot on minimap, when shooting is awful. How they balance subsonic ammo/suppressors I don't really care, if just audio spot was removed.

@PantleonThat is not the point.
We are now back to using the minimap for finding enemies and shooting doritoes instead of enemy players. This was some of the worst parts of especially BF4 (still the best BF-game in a long time). Mini-map spotting was removed in BF1 and BFV and that worked well (the games had other issues).
We shouldn't rely on spot as much, visibility and sound should be enough. Spotting is more or less watered down "wall-hacks", that are put in the game because the graphics and sound are not working or are focused on "immersion"/looks, more than good gameplay.- 4 years ago
@cso7777 BFV had the flaregun that pretty much work like the motion sensor does in BF2042.
BF4 Had 3d spotting, you can't compare 3d spotting to showing up on the minimap. You just had to look at an enemy, press the spot button and a triangle would appear above their head. You could even do this behind smokes, just spam the spot key into the smoke and you would have wall hacks through the smoke.
The BSV-M really highlights why tracers, minimap spotting and sniper glare is in the game. It's to add risk and discourage people from camping in a bush at the * end of the map.
