We asked for VOIP - why isn't anyone using it?

Small sample size, I know, but I haven't been able to find anyone (in Oceania) using VOIP. This forum made such a big deal about it, so why don't players use it? The discussion about the EA survey ...

    @S1n31ra Could also mean that forum contributors don't necessarily represent the majority player base!

The discussion about the EA survey has caused me to ruminate on this. I have my own thoughts, but I would like to hear other points-of-view.

Possibly because the vast majority don't care/didn't want it but those that did were very loud about it?

    @Trokey66 Makes you wonder whether forums (EA/Reddit/etc.) represent the views of the majority of players!

      @Lancelot_du_Lac I strongly suspect they only represent the loudest and have done for a long time.

        Console players are the main users of voip because a headset comes with every console. Especially ps5, because a microphone and speaker is built into the controller.

        I'm sure 2042 shipping without voip support and voip being disabled by default has a lot to do with nobody using it.

      @Lancelot_du_Lac @Trokey66 VOIP has been in the battlefield franchise STANDARD for over 10 years, it would be like removing tanks or removing sniper rifles from the game. Its not a "whoever cries loudest" its a put * in the game that NEEDS to be in the game at launch.

        @foff667 No it wouldn't!

        I've been playing since BC and never once thought of turning Tonks off (sniper rifles maybe) but always turn voip off, it is too annoying.
