We asked for VOIP - why isn't anyone using it?

Small sample size, I know, but I haven't been able to find anyone (in Oceania) using VOIP. This forum made such a big deal about it, so why don't players use it? The discussion about the EA survey ...

    @S1n31ra Could also mean that forum contributors don't necessarily represent the majority player base!

@Lancelot_du_Lac I strongly suspect they only represent the loudest and have done for a long time.

Console players are the main users of voip because a headset comes with every console. Especially ps5, because a microphone and speaker is built into the controller.

I'm sure 2042 shipping without voip support and voip being disabled by default has a lot to do with nobody using it.

    @OskooI_007 Exactly. Should be on by default. You can mute easily if needed. I had my best BF game in the last 20 years of BF. Just made friendship with an awesome player in California. This was sooooo needed. I was able to ask someone finally to pick me up with a helicopter. Great conversation. We switched seats mid air and he thought me how to fly the helicopter. Later went into buildings backing up each other. All socially awkward gamers: open up i want to play with you and talk to you! 🙂
    VOIP is for communicating with random strangers. Now…if only we could stay with our new friends round after round after round…
