We asked for VOIP - why isn't anyone using it?

Small sample size, I know, but I haven't been able to find anyone (in Oceania) using VOIP. This forum made such a big deal about it, so why don't players use it? The discussion about the EA survey ...

    @S1n31ra Could also mean that forum contributors don't necessarily represent the majority player base!

@SpudBug how do you think people MADE THOSE FRIENDS? Most of my friends on my friend list(90%) have a mic, used it on VOIP and we friended each other. You don't just get into a party chat and wait for people to magically become friends with you. I've never used discord in my life, that would mainly be PC players...not console.

@foff667 They make those friends in social media circles and forums. The battlefield discord has voice channels to play with others and its way better than just hoping randoms want to talk or are even going to do anything but shout nonsense.

    @SpudBug PC is just different. Console users don't go onto their PC to make friends to play on console. We go onto our console to make friends on our console. I know, weird concept to grasp but grasp it.

      I play pc and use it when playing with random.  I joined the platoon I'm in and have others joined the platoon by using the voip.  I'm sure there are plenty others that are like me.  Some people don't use it until someone does first, so be that person to use it first.   No sense taking tools away

        Yesterday I got the oppurtunity to play with an EA DEV and I am pretty sure he liked my call outs via VOIP.

        But sometimes it won't work although it is activated, seems to be every 3rd round that it won't work and people can't hear me.
