i think that this wasn't a supposed to be a battlefield game. whatever was supposed to be battlefield wasn't going to be ready and they were developing this as a BR game so they grabbed it off the shelf, bolted on some battlefield game modes, slapped battlefield name on the box and shipped it. that would explain the forced spawning at match start and specialists. could also explain the difference between marketing hype vids and what we got. BR on these wide open maps would have sucked though

It would certainly seem that way, hard to think of any other reason really.
