Weapon Discrepancies
This one has really been getting to me lately. Its watching certain players rack up dozens up dozens of kills in no time at all with a particular weapon: namely the PP-29 or K-30. Yet if you switch t...
@Psubond I ran through that mode a while back and the outcome was the same as it is for solo against bots. One thing I noticed with 2042 solo is that you can still get occasional ping spikes, so it matches fairly well with what I experience in MP (roughly around 24ms). Kills against bots behave exactly as weapons should (four hits on an SFAR is a kill). But its certain players who seem to utterly destroy droves of players in a single magazine with something like the K30, and at range, that doesn't add up (and something you couldn't actually do against bots either). One the other day was up to 14 kills within a minute of the game starting, and by that point I'd barely seen five players to even aim at.
I've frequently tested out weapons, attachments, and at particular ranges to see if I can replicate questionable things I experience in MP. Most of the time, I cannot. That includes one hit body kill shots with some of the sniper rifles (when at full health) past a certain distance, which I've experienced several times. Same for the NTW landing a one hit body kill beyond the actual range it can achieve this when you're at full health.
In a Rush match yesterday I grabbed a 12M from a downed enemy and unloaded it on a player with about two thirds health standing maybe 10m away. At least five of the rounds connected with them, but they wandered off with health to spare. In the same match, I got obliterated from 100% health by a 12M at three times the distance, using buckshot. Shot period was about half the time I fired, so you're looking at 3-4 rounds only. Its stuff like that which doesn't add up, and its always players that race ahead of others in KDR pulling off these questionable kills.
Well, I tried to do the graph thing but I had my topic closed down, go figure. Not that any of these graphs make any sense to me in the first place.
