Weapon Meta

It seems to me that having all guns for all characters will reduce the variety of guns seen in-game.  This is doubly true when you consider the Plus system will allow the player to customize their generic assault rifle on the fly to better suit situations.  For example, why carry a sniper when you can just equip an acog? How do we avoid everyone running around with this game's M16/AEK971?

  • @Mr_Dox20 I like the idea of the new system. I hated being restricted in my gameplay by class system. Giving the medic in BF1 SLRs and SARs was a bad decision, because medics do stay further back and reviving is just so much more rare.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens. I do plan to mix up weapons myself though, as I get bored using the same ones all the time.

  • I too dont like the idea of being able to change weapon loadouts on the fly.  Im not a fan of all class weapons eaither, but i guess its an easy (lazy cough cough) get out of having to balance classes/specialists.

  • Hello @Mr_Dox20

I don't think that all players will be playing only 2 or 3 weapons.. BATTLEFIELD 2042 will have massive maps do Sniper Rifles will be must have on some maps.

Also many people like to play only Sniper Rifles or SMG's...

We need to wait and see all weapons that will be in BATTLEFIELD 2042 after release. 🙂
  • @Mr_Dox20 I liked this idea as well of having no restrictions on the loadout for specific class. its gonna be awesome experience. just imagine if this was in BF1 you will be rooming around with your Martini-Henry with the support or medic gadgets.
