The issue has, for the time being, seemed to fix itself. It would appear that EA has bigger problems given I got an "unable to load persistence data" error and then my stuff showed up. Not that any of it matters now since I can't even join a game due to their server issues.
And as for the issue I'm describing, this has happened before and took a while for it to be sorted out. The bottom line here is that it shouldn't be happening at all, but I guess that's too big an expectation to lay on a AAA studio with billions of dollars in revenue.
I've noticed that I've had issues connecting to the forums this morning as well....can't try the game as I'm at the office, but maybe they are connected.

haha that's what I meant buddy, EA is having issues. I'm the network admin, so "get around" not having access at work. I just don't have the game installed at work 🙂
