Weekly Missions Too Short

I look forward to the weekly missions, but it never takes me more than a day or two to do them. PLEASE give us more than 3 missions. The current difficulty (how long it takes to do each mission) is not bad, but they just go by so fast. Not to compare the games at all, but if you look at the weekly missions for Halo Infinite, I think they are a good example. There are like a dozen missions to do. Some can be done in one match, some require multiple matches, but it can all be done in a week if you push hard. The current model is just way too easy!

I actually want to play this game more than I do. Adding Dailies will obviously improve this, but in the mean time, as long as you are doing weeklies, please give us more!

  • @X_BattlePHILd_X the game is so hollow, that is all they can come up with at this time. The scoring system is so basic that there are only a few metrics they can use for weeklies. Just of what that will look at like after the 40th weekly.

They are going to say they cater to the new players or those that don't play a lot, to give them a chance at achieving it.

I don't think these will ever change because this would fall at 147th on their to do list.
  • Damn, guys! Ease up on the hate! There are plenty of threads out there complaining about the game. Please do so on those threads and leave some for constructive feedback!

  • That is perfectly fine. I like that I don't have to go a few miles extra to get it done. Playing in relaxed pace and in time complete tasks is amazing approach.

  • @X_BattlePHILd_XRight now they should be easy to finish, it's hard enough getting matches regularly so adding more challenges would just result in worse player retention.

Halo has so many missions because they monetize the game via buying mission swaps, no? And the community has complained endlessly as a result since a great many of the challenges actively require you to play poorly in order to complete or have outrageous requirements/are poorly communicated.

If you enjoy playing, just play. You shouldn't need a carrot on the end of a stick to continue playing a game you enjoy. I hate how we have over a decade+ of online FPS design training players to expect rewards for literally everything as if FPS games are some damned RPG with levels and progression and whatnot.

The last thing I want, at least personally, is spammy, garbage, low-effort daily missions that people feel obligated to do. Dailies are generally lazy design to attempt to improve retention to begin with.

  • @X_BattlePHILd_XI do think some of the targets could be increased a tad to put a bit more longevity into the weeklies but then most games I have played in the past that have some weeklies, could be done in a session or 2.

I don't think daylies will bring anything special to be honest.

At least the missions aren't like BFV where you had to do things on, attacking and/or defending objectives and on the whole, they are 'team based'.

I think the weeklies are OK given that the reward is usually something small. Plus they were just meant to tie us over until the season started originally if memory serves, so were set up to not take much time.

Really I'm just grateful that quite a few of the requirements have been team-play focused.

  • Not only are they too short, but they are so boring. Now I'm thinking either we get boring objects, or we get dumb ones like in BFV "Kill 15 people in one round while defending an objective on the 5th of March while the sun is hidden behind a cloud".
