I would gladly spend 50 euros extra on this game if it means every 3 or so months we're getting a DLC with 4 maps and a bunch of new stuff to play with
What if they bring out premium content DLC next year for the game? Would you still buy it?

To be honest, probably not. The only caveat would be if it significantly increased the player count, then maybe.
It would also depend on what that premium content was too, I suppose.

nope. Done with this BF. Nothing but trouble since launch and and minimum effort to fix from EA/DICE who pretty much gave up on it from the beginning.
This whole game has been 1 big beta for their next title, and i helped pay for it like a sucker.

To tell the truth, I believed until the end that Dice would positively surprise me with some news about plans to add new maps to the portal, which they had hoped for from the beginning (rightly so, it is a great idea, only very badly managed / even abandoned) and I did not want to believe, that we will only get a minimum of one map per season in a game that does not even have a single player for full price. In fact, if that turns out to be true (that they will only add two maps to the game) then it really is a blow to the face for the community, he was just taking respect from us and our money. I understand that a lot of people want bf2042 to be dumped and a new game released as soon as possible, but how can you be sure that if they got away with this scam this time around, the situation won't happen again? DICE / EA is doing everything to destroy the Battlefield as they all love, because apparently analysts decided that it is better to spend the crap more often but for more money, because people will buy it anyway ... Sad

@andzian1920I was under the impression also that new maps would come to portal each season but boy was I let down. Portal could have been so much better but they screwed it from the get-go by limiting the XP. It probably would have retained more players too if they hadn't. I guess maybe DICE didn't want portal to upstage AOW.

Tough messaging from you @246stNSW ,
But unfortunately very true. The terribly pre-mature launch made it an impossible uphill battle for the dev team to try and turn this lost supertanker around. Many of the absolute core software design architectures made it too much to fix even before Xmas/NewYear, which was supposed to be the epic summit for this game. So the opportunity to win back some of the much lost FPS game marketshare was lost. Looking back in the mirror (always easier) then it appears this was also the conclusion the upper echelons came to at EA/DICE and all taps were closed off back in Jan/Feb timeframe. The terminal sick patient was put on bare minimum life support, keeping the game just at vegetative state until at least the 4 seasons have been pushed out.
Not even sure anybody would want BF2042 to become an organ donor.
Up to me, I think cremation would be best.

And the worst part about that is that they had a prime opportunity. CoD was a down year, Halo Infinite was a mess at launch with very very little content. Had BF soared during that time it would be a massively different situation than what we have right now. But here we are with the dregs of a would-be Battle Royale with a mode that was DoA at launch, and Portal which hasn't had significant content in a year [minus a few guns] and still has one of the worst interfaces I've seen on a PC ever.
