This new trailer "what a time to be alive" is describes everything, that is wrong with that game. Seriously Dice, is this game made for 12 year old kids? Do you want to catch the fortnite audience? ...

@TickTack121 It was very bad. This game has no direction in game design, tone, and marketing as we now see because it's trying to be everything to everybody.

The happy, cheerful tone in this tv spot makes it look like a Disney commercial - a commerical for a kid’s game.

Check the BF4 tv spot for contrast. No happy tone, no cheerfulness, just war and destruction…as it should be in a commercial for Battlefield.

@VOLBANKER_PC That was one epic trailer and the difference between this one and 2042 makes it even more obvious.

@VOLBANKER_PCThe contrast is stark indeed, and as a parent i can see that the new BF2042 commercial would be easier to accept on the wishlist of a kids christmas presents.
The fact that I myself was playing "banned" games on my Commodore 64 at a much younger age than my youngest kid does not enter into that logic for some reason.
Thank you for an eye opening reminder!
In that light, the new commercial is borderline subversive, thb.
