@BuzzfunkI was about to add to my post above that DICE do indeed bend backwards now to appeal more to kids than to the normal Battlefield customers, but you beat me to it 🙂
- VOLBANKER_PC4 years agoSeasoned Ace@Buzzfunk Well, it makes me sad. I’m not a “real BF veteran” as I only started playing from BF4 and onwards, but that doesn’t change the fact that I really like the franchise. I don’t play any computer games at all except for Battlefield - I even bought one of the new consoles with the sole purpose of playing the then upcoming Battlefield game on it. To see the people behind the game turn in into something so fundamentally different from what previous games in the franchise were about…it just sucks.
- 4 years ago@VOLBANKER_PC Yeah, not impressed. I was excited about getting two new AAA shooters this Fall, but I won't be getting either one this time around, sadly.

Loool, what was this I just watched? And what's up with the "What a time to be alive!" catch phrase!?
I'm an avid Battlefield fan and even I have no idea what's going on.

I think people are going overboard with saying its fundamentally different? - in theory its not besides specialists..
Literally big maps, conquest, vehicles, no more exit animations (back to OG battlefield).. the game is set in 2042, the guns arent gunna feel like OG Battlefield because they are futuristic... i think this is where people are getting it all wrong.
The game just FEELS different because of the setting. I agree and wish there were class limitations.. i honestly am fine with specialists, but they should have kept certain equipment like med bags ONLY for the medics etc...
But yeah, not having a go at people, everyone can have their own opinion but i think people are being too harsh without properly even playing the final version.

It feels almost like they put the Apex code underneath this thing, and I HATE that game.
