1. Rental Servers for Portal, so a server can be permanent instead of relying on the host.
2. More Portal maps / additional BF titles added (especially BF4).
3. Traditional class system / specialist removal in AOW.

I read the GamesRadar review of OW 2 today, and it is somewhat ironic that I have the same concerns/* for BF 2042 that they have for OW 2.
In summary, developers are learning that sometimes changing legacy features isn't what the majority of franchise players actually want in a legacy gaming series...

Totally agree that the removal of legacy features has definitely backfired in BF2042, hopefully the next title will not make the same mistake.
