What benefits do you think a CTE would bring?

so i'm wondering if people would like to chime in, since we are allowed to ask for a server browser on here (i would like one too) as well as persistent servers (yes please) what benefit would a CTE bring to the game and do you all think it would be beneficial to add it?

Personally i do think a CTE is appropriate and i would love to see it brought back

  • Absolutely, I honestly can't see a downside to reinstating the CTE.

Agreed but I can see a lot of reasons for having it that's for sure.

It makes sense with how bad this title is but it is more resources for DICE to expend and they are already out on this title if that wasn't already abundantly clear.

  • Working on BF1 CTE was so much fun and were able to change a lot of things. With BF2042 I'm sure we'd be able to get some great cover options and better balance gadgets the most.

Other than some users only using the feature to see early content I don't really see any downsides to reinitiated the program.

    Fully agreed @Psubond ,

Though the CTE should have been reinstated for the BF2042 game development already back in autumn 2020 to have made the impact it should, to ensure a working game and functionality that would work for the players come launch date in autumn 2021.  Everything in and around BF2042 was rushed, so despite we even provided very clear and consistent feedback to EA/DICE since spring 2021 it did not appear to make any change what so ever to the final game on release 6-8 months later.  With such attitude, then CTE would be no help either.

To me personally, CTE is however the most perfect way to interact with your customer base and get them even more bonded to your product and community long before final commercial launch.  Its like expanding your R&D department and you don't even need to pay them anything for it!

Even just small symbolic gestures like being awarded soldier tags goes a long way!

Nothing, it won't change the bad design decisions of the game.

I'd like it to make a return. I always enjoyed trying things out and testing changes and so on.
