What did you do to the matchmaking?

So, I only play Conquest close quarters. The matchmaking wasn't perfect, but at least it was working. We had a map rotation; you only needed to stay on the server after every match and wait for the next map to load up. Same players, same squad, no need to go to the menus to search again. If for some reason you wanted a different server, different rotation, you only needed to go back to the menus and search again. The matchmaking would always take you to the server available with more players, could be the same one you left or a different one but it always had players.

Now, for some mysterious reason, when a match ends everyone is taken to the menus to search again. You'll be taken to a new lobby with a random map from the playlist (map rotation is gone). If you're are lucky, most of the players will land on the same server, but most of the time the players go to different lobbies. So instead of having a full lobby with 64 players you are now on a server with 20 players while the other players landed on different lobbies and now you have 3 lobbies with 20 players each. (Why?????).

And I know this is not my problem because today I was playing with friends that were either on my team or the opposite team and everyone is having the same experience than me.

And that's not all. If you leave the server and go back to the menus to search again, you'll ALWAYS land on an empty lobby. Not even on a match that is about to end or the server with 20 players that you just left... An empty lobby!

The only way to fix this nonsense is by restarting the app, and when you search it takes you to a server with players, as it should. But only if you restart the app. And it only works once! Because if you leave that server to search again... Empty lobby. And here comes the loop: restart the app, search... Server with players... Back to the menus, search... empty lobby. Restart the app, search... server with players and so on.

Why did you take away the map rotation? Why did you modify the matchmaking? Why did you have to screw up the only thing that was working decently?

Aren't you busy with the new battlefield? Do you actually have the time to return to this, almost deceased battlefield 2042, to ruin one of the few things that worked?

Whatever changes you did in the past 48 hours to the matchmaking on conquest close quarters... Reverse them. Don't experiment, don't play around, don't try new things. Just reverse the changes. Thanks for your cooperation.

Update: Map rotation is still gone. Searching from the menus still will take you to an empty lobby.
If you just started the app, searching from the menus will work fine but only once. If you enter a server and leave to search again, empty lobbies is what you are going to get. Only solution for the empty lobbies issue: restarting the app.
However I noticed a change: Yesterday, after the match was over, the matchmaking was taking the players to different random empty lobbies. Tonight, the matchmaking was behaving differently: we were either landing on a new lobby with most of the players from the previous match joining too (that's good), or you could end on a random ongoing match, early, mid or late game. I actually joined 4 times in a row on matches that had less than 400 tickets left. Better than being on empty lobbies I guess.

@NexusPolaris22 Maybe better but not what it should be.

As said before we had a good working persistent server with map rotation in Close Quarters Conquest, why take it away instead of copying the same specs to the other servers?

@RanzigeRidder2Exactly. Why take away something that was working decently, as I mentioned on the original post.

I have no hope to be honest. If they ever fix it might be during the first months of 2025.

I don't even think they know what happened. I think there's somebody playing with the computers pushing buttons randomly like Dee Dee in Dexter's Laboratory while asking "what does this button do?"

This exact thing is also happening to TDM. Not sure why they changed this. It worked absolutely fine before. I usually play with a bunch of friends, and now we get split up into different matches. Sucks, and takes away a lot of the enjoyment if I can't play with my buds ☹️

Update: This is still happening, and it's now splitting premade squads up in between rounds and placing them on opposite teams. Frequently get stuck in a matchmaking loop where you have to exit after a round ends and begin the search again. Please revert whatever change was made!
