@Equilibrium_82 To sum it up shortly for me - Depth, and incentive to want do something.
Where are the squad points? assist(vehicle) counts as kill? points for the amount of healing/ammo done, repair points (or at least give engineer specialists repair tool like bfv support) Scope zeroing, leaning, headshot bonus, distance bonus, destruction, character animations (watch the bf3/2042 comparison vid) Changing reticles/colors on scopes, weapon/vehicle camos (bf4 had better/more camos) Doubled the player count but not squads? No platoons? Can't create a squad? Can't make someone squad leader? Can't kick from/lock squad. Very little gadgets/weapons/equipment, map design, server browser etc.
All of these little things add up to give you an experience when playing bf that made it unique. Its not just a run and gun shooter with vehicles thrown in the map. which is what 2042 seems to be, just a mindless shooter with some vehicles thrown on top.
