1. maps seem like they are made for a racing game not fps
2. specialists were a bad idea, and they made it worse by making them act like clowns. are they in war or playing a paintball game? I don't know.
3. the gun variety and attachments are severely lacking. I would think in 2042 there would be a big DIY community that can make all sorts of guns and attachments. Why even set it in 2042 if there is nothing to show it is from that time period?
4. no futuristic elements, a lot of things are in development in the weapons industry, they could have implemented some of these interesting things, but absolutely nothing other than a robot dog.
5. 128 players is good, but at what cost? I don't know what the tick rate of the servers are, but they feel very unresponsive compared to previous battlefield games.
6. music is like chalk on a wall. again no imagination at all.
... and so many other things.. I just can't write them all, it would be too long
BF2042 is missing a OP clusterflakk map.
And that is coming from a hater of OP clusterflakk maps.
We need such a map to finally have some good application of gadgets that are made for cramped spaces (Dozer Shield, Scatter grenade, Grenades in general).

Yeah I think you are right. There is too much running in open spaces, a good old clusterflakk map as you call it would be a welcome change of pace and add a bit of much needed variety.
@RayD_O1Currently I am a bit less than 200 kills/assists with sundance grenades away from tier 1.
The way the scatter grenades need someone to be blind or spacing out to get even damaged by them in these open field maps is so frustrating.and of course the anti armor grenades still prefer to track a heli that is 1000m away.
