Because they are " stuck " in wich ever BF they see as the " GOLD standard " and with the help of nostalgia and some heavy doses of innacurate anecdotes they come to a false sens of conclusion in wich they firmly beleive that " Classes " improove teamplay . Also they are stuck in a mentality where they think that " The more you limite players " the better balance will be .. but its not true and does not hold up either .
BF4 classes as a exemple was heavily unpredictable due to both " Gadjet slots " being custumizable so you could end up with Assault with no defib and no medpack and Support with no Amo etc.. Or engineer with no rocket or repairkit and so on ...
Could we get a " Engineer " specialist who have repair tool as a gadjet instead of being in the secondary gadjet .. yeah maybe .. but things like C4 , stinger , M5 rocket etc.. should remain secondary gadjet available to all ...
Specialist in many ways are more predictable than any BF4 classes .. but as i said for some BF4 is a gold standard but for others its BFBC2 others BF2 .. Other BF3 other BFV and so on ...
The classes system never made any real sens .. its just an outdated formula ... Where peoples seek to " limit " players custimization ..
Complain that a Mckay will use grappling to rech sniping position .. but in past BF the same type of players were crashing jets and helicopters wasting them to parachute themselves on High rise building and deploy a squad beacon to camp all day on those roofs .. At least now others Mckay or sundance can Over flank them with AR and SMG and deal with them without having to steal and crash friendly choppers ..
