What is the point of accuracy nerf?

Playing after this "change" makes me question Dice's ability to make decisions.

Current changes make totally opposite of what they were meant to do -

Noobs who can't hit their shots now can't hit their shots even more.

Good players are still able to beam others at a 50-70 meter range even with currently bugged spread return times being DOUBLE the intended value. So after that has been fixed it will be even easier. Just tap tap tap away and enemies melt.

Some guns seem to be bugged into oblivion - AC42 is totally useless now. It's one of those guns that must not be affected by spread, Same as other guns that have burst fire option, as well as single fire modes should always be dead accurate.

RM68 for some mindblowing reason wasn't even affected by the nerf. Used it earlier today and went 87-11 on Breakaway, still beaming people up to 100 meters away.

So now your balancing team will be having nightmares for the next 6 or so months.
Noobs that will cry even more that they're being outclassed by good players/cheaters because they can't hit a shot and still getting beamed across the map.
And in general, gunplay will go down from being decently enjoyable to being somewhere between BF4 and BF1 where every gun felt exactly the same and topped with BF1 level or gunplay clunkiness.

Has anyone figured out why Dice are doing this? Maybe I just don't get something

My theory is that making gun-play more skill-based with higher recoil are not possible to implement on controllers and will end up making crossplay a mess for Dice (with endless discussions about aim-assist etc etc), this is just me guessing though.

But if they increase spread, they need to make tap-fire work and that should be possible for all platforms. BF4 has some weird feeling gunplay, but it is probably the best balanced, we have had yet.

Getting rid of the 'just point and click-shooting' (with automatics at medium-range) would benefit the game.

@Adamonic Its not going to help new players, quite the opposite.

People who know the tap firing mechanic from BF3/BF4 will instantly have an advantage over everyone else.

New players will be helplessly spraying and praying and wondering why they don't hit any shots, while experienced players will be able to tap fire and beam them at long range.

@cso7777 but it doesn't really matter for consoles as they get a flat 25% reduction to any recoil increase DICE may or may not implement....
in theory the change wouldn't be as bad but DICE in their unrivaled ability to screw up implemented these changes without ever actually testing them whatsoever... so now they are broken and cause unneeded frustration... leave it to DICE to ruin their communities good will
