This is my read too. I'm a big fan of Xbox, but PlayStation does outsell Xbox so the liklihood is that there are just more players on that platform.

Was going to say, the numbers between the two are so different that you'd have to start looking at what % of the playerbase versus just stock numbers.
@RanzigeRidder2 I can't remember if it's been given away free yet like it was for PS+, but we can access a version* of it through Gamepass.
*Might be the last gen version. I can't remember for certain and I'm at work so can't easily check.
