what settings should I play?

Hello, I think there is an optimization problem in the game. I can't see that optimization work is done in the incoming updates (Or I didn't notice)

8700K
1080Ti OC
32GB RAM 3000MHZ DDR4
Asus Z370A Prime

When I try to play on ultra with this system, I experience fps drops.

I even had to change some settings to medium. Do you have the same PC specs? I would be happy if you write your thoughts.

I've attached a screenshot of some settings. Please let me know if there is any setting you suggest me to fix.

  • @FatihRSPRYou’re going to be challenged with your rig and 2042. If your CPU isn’t the bottleneck, then your GPU will be. Don’t get me wrong, the game is incredibly poorly optimized as you’ll read about in these forums, but your rig is not quite there. I say this as a guy with a 1070 as his bottleneck. I overclocked it up to 1911 mhz, play on high settings with about 60 fps. I’ve got a 5800x and set my 32 GB of Trident RAM to meet its 3600mhz capability. My GPU is 100% my bottleneck and I think your 1080ti is your weakness. A buddy has an i9 and a 3090 and still has trouble!

OP has a pretty balanced system, but will probably experience sub 60fps drops with that CPU no matter what settings or resolution are used.

    that graph is wrong

with 8700k and GTX1070 on low settings 1080p i get average 100 fps
with framedrops on some areas till 80 fps

    gpu usage is 100% , cpu ~ 40 %
    on 720 p average 140 fps

p.s on high preset with locked 60 fps via nvidia control panel and v-sync enabled game is playable with some framedrops on certain areas

p.p.s but this game is one big epic fail and dont deserve name "Battlefield" !

@FatihRSPR I have a 5900x, 32GB of DDR4, and a 3080 and I don't run at Ultra. I run at high with some settings to medium. Granted, I run at 4K, but nevertheless, I don't see any reason at all to run a competitive FPS at Ultra due to the hit and the lack of detail difference.

@Anobix I could run it at ultra, I’ve seen no difference between that and high so I run it at high as well. Nice rig. Hey Fateh, are you running 1080p or 4k. That’d be a huge difference for your 1080ti. Lots of settings posts already made, please search for those.
