Hi, i would just like to know what people can expect regarding anti-cheat software? Will it be merciless and get hardware ban(hoping for this one) or just some normal ban after certain time they can play again(hope they can’t).

As with everything in life, AC measures should also be proportional applied compared to the degree of offense committed. At least that is my own opinion. There are the casual first timers, and then there are the other extremes, where it is organized, deliberate and repeated. I am confident that EA will have some goodies to share with us on this subject, as they promised to do so a few weeks before game launch. As we are not allowed to discuss specifics on AC here on the forum, then expect this thread to be closed if the discussion goes negative and off the rails.
First of all, new Anti-cheat must be available to find all those private cheaters guys who thinks thay can cheat any game just beacuse they have money to buy expensive cheats for each week.
Secondly, It's up to EA to decide how exactly to punish based on the situation.
I think
1- st time all stats in BF 2042 wipe out
2- d hardware ban and ip location ban
Even single cheater can destroy full server of players game, their k/d stats etc., imagine if they are more.
Ban every cheater without mercy.

Honestly I'm expecting it to be useless and ineffective.
What I would like is something similar to punkbuster, battleeye, Xigncode3 and/or admin tools.
But I'm not holding my breath
Expect the same as it is now; a placebo report button to ease your mind, nothing more. 🤨
you can expect all the same hacks that have worked since BF4 to keep on working.
but we can " hope " things get better.
Console is the largest group and where all the money is. I expect EA to do the same as they have done since BF4.
Comes with a lot of hot air about them working on it and taking it seriously while we experience the opposite.
I lost confidence a long time ago.
I can't help myself. I continue to hope.
Maybe hire people to spectate the games as well as player reporting. Investing in that would be well spent.
