Whats the point of Soflam if Rao is getting a buff.

@Adamonic That kills the point of using Soflan though. Why bother taking Soflan if you can hack and paint at the same time? Unless they buff soflam in some way.

For example to keep the lock even through flares, now that would be interesting. But then they would have to add ECM Jammer back

As a former Rao+SOFLAM main.

99% of pilots worth killing will flare at the beginning of the hack.

Even if the vehicle is hacked/targeted no one can take advantage of it due to the flares. It's not a doomsday scenario.

That said I do agree that SOFLAM now seems rather pointless based on what we do know. Lis seems clearly the best anti-vehicle specialist and cannot benefit from SOFLAM. SOFLAM locks are still easily countered by flares, it's unlikely any M5/FXM user is sending a missile unless they suspect flares are still recharging.

Lastly the re-introduction of the 3D spot mechanic is not only faster, but free version of the SOFLAM spotting feature.
