A total pile of crap too easy to be pinned into the home base on break through and too easy for spawn campers another map I won't be bothering to play like renewal

It's barely been available for an hour - have you truly tested Stranded? We're curious about your feedback. But be sure to give it proper a play first.
- 3 years ago@Straatford87 My guess is that he got a very bad team the first match…

6 games and everyone one of them the same spawn campers and no way I was unlucky 6 attacking games to have a bad team. Spawn campers map so they will have a field day I won't be playing it again poor design and too easy to be pinned down

Played 6 games and everyone the same spawn campers and pinned just like renewal has become.
- 3 years ago@Straatford87 The Stranded map is laid out great for breakthrough, as it channels enemies and team mates into some really crazy fun "rush the check point" sort of moments that I really enjoyed. I got revived almost 90% of the time, the map forced team work, it was chaotic at times but it felt controlled, really nice work Dice for Breakthrough...
For Conquest, it was fun but it might get old quick as it is really narrow for air vehicles, but it definitely fells good as ground infantry.
I'd rate the map below Exposure in all around playable-ness, but at least in the top 30-40% for Conquest, and top 10% for Breakthrough.
All around, a well thought out map...- 3 years ago
You can shut the blue doors up top. There is a control panel on one side of them.

Crap map, had 10 minutes of it and it sucks hard, might be the 128 players, but so far, this map is just bad.
- SCUBASTEVE1203 years agoSeasoned Ace@Straatford87 👍 straight up I'd back you on this cause:
1. I seen these posts right after my 3rd round so no not enough time to test it.
2. I like stranded I feel the work you guys put into it and I give praise for it.
I think with the edition of stranded I finally convinced 3 people @ work to buy and start playing 2042.- 3 years ago
My feedback:
1. The map feels uninspired. Another ship with containers. I like some of the weapon market aspect of the story behind it but it still never feels like a war zone, IMO. I feels always like an arena (aka hero shooter).
2. For some reason, I die a lot on this map. Instant death on respawn. Not sure why i am playing so badly on this map...
3. I really wish the storms would do some damage to the map itself. They have become kind of annoying.
I dunno. I still think Orbital and Exposure are my fav ones. Stranded looks better than the launch maps but again, im not sure why my deaths exceed kills now.
- 3 years ago@Buzzfunk IDK the storms are sweet. I was on an objective yesterday and I had a nado coming at me and i stopped and looked at it lol. They do have an effect on the objectives on a small map like this!
Damage would be cool but i remember hearing from a former dev that it took wayyyy to much work to make the tornado do things.

Conquest play....I can't imagine what Breakthrough is like, bad I suspect. I'm trying not to be a negative nancy here but, I don't think it was designed well. It has great graphical detail but it's not built for BF Gameplay. There isn't a single point on the map, with the exception of inside the containers, that you aren't under observation. This is 100% a MacKay map. It is difficult to say the least to put together any sort of strategic flank on a point, since you can be seen, sniped and killed from 100 directions everywhere you are. The top of the ship is pointless except for a place to snipe from. If you're in the ship, stay in the ship should be the motto. The outer lanes are the only place you can go for a few seconds without being observed and those are choke points. Everyone is camping a corner. You pay hell going from spawn to the ship once the round gets going. I can imagine that attackers have little to no chance on this map in BT. There are so many points high and low that you can't possibly check them all when entering an area or objective, so I'm not sure if it's just my luck or not, but getting to a point is an exercise in futility. Once to a spot, you don't want to leave, which promotes CAMPING, which is what this map mostly turns into after the first minute or two of furious commotion to establish who has what points. After that, prepare to grit your teeth. I dislike Exposure for the entire bottom end being a snipe/camp fest and this map is that way everywhere. The cap points are too large with too many obstructions.
Not a well designed map IMO.
- Anobix3 years agoSeasoned Ace@Echo6Echo In BT it entirely depends on if you have a team that will actually move/work together. Because it is a single-point through the whole map if the attackers just zerg together at the same time, put down some irish trophies and use smokes it's pretty quick to run over the defenders.
Likewise, on defense, if you have guys not flanking, using the trophy systems, etc you will likely be hosed.
