Apologies if it's been mentioned already, but I have a sinking feeling the reason the Server Browser hasn't been implemented (or for all we know, just switched on - Portal has a browser) is because then we'll get actual hard data on the player population.
I know we're all just making guesses because that's all we've been left to do, but it makes a daunting kind of sense that management wants to deploy patches first with the intention of rebuilding the player base to a healthy population - some poor soul's KPI no doubt - & then open up browser.
Honestly this whole dev cycle feels off, I can't imagine what it must be like to be a junior or core staff on this project.

I don't think the Server Browser is going to unmask some hidden secrets about player population. They literally have not even mentioned it since launch and I don't think they intend to add one, which is game breaking for a lot of players.- 4 years ago
@Adamonicoh 100% I agree with you, but unfortunately I don't think this project is being managed transparently or rationally. It really is a very corporate thing for management to say "we must never reveal our player data" - you're dead right, it won't surprise anyone.
And agreed, too, that content is the only thing that will bring players back - the two have to go hand-in-hand though which I think we're all feeling. We need visibility of healthy servers - in our region if we have them - and be able to stay in a server without geting re-match-made after every round. Imagine new content being launched only to have to keep getting match-made into Hourglass over and over again.- RayD_O14 years agoHero
