- Twordy4 years agoSeasoned Ace@CantGetRight Few buddies called me Twordy back in the day, because of my character, and now it's my battle logs name. Playing since BF2 (2006 going online) mainly modded servers with private rankings. Right now playing mainly BF4 on a few servers run by one of the best BF communities since BF2 times. Cheers to anyone who has played modded v1.0, guys we need you to save the battlefield franchise.
- filthy_vegans4 years agoSeasoned Ace@CantGetRight I shot a guy in Panzerstorm and it triggered him, leading him to call me and my squadmates "filthy vegan soy boys."
I liked it so I took it. - lzilchetl4 years agoSeasoned Ace
Thought it reflected my usual kills per game when I first started playing back in 2006. I'd be "Doublet" now! (had to add the "l*******l with BF3 when EA messed up my account)
It was something that I made up when making my PSN account back in the PS3 era because I used to game under the name Frostbite, but I was seeing too many Frostbite's in games. So I wanted something new and original. It is my name on everything gaming related. I get teased online for this name all of the time when I have a bad game. Which is often.
from film Equilibrium (2002) https://youtu.be/4weEXyoXZKs
It's from a film called Event Horizon. It was the first 18 certificate film I went to see in the cinema after turning 18. The internet was still a novelty, so I was still using the local newspaper to pick a film and showing time. They called it a sci-fi. I thought it was 18 because of language and/or nudity. (This was the 90's. It got shoe-horned into every film back then.)
They never said it was a horror! I do not do well with them!
I went with a friend and we both sat there pretending not to be soiling ourselves. Each of us thought the other would mock us for noping out. So we stayed the course.
What an adventure! I was buzzing and absolutely loved it. When the film ends by slamming to black and blasting out Prodigy I wanted to go do karate in the garage or something.
It is a very fond memory for me as internet and even trying to do spoiler-dodging makes this highly unlikely to ever happen again.
...had to change mine (same meaning, different wording) when BFV started their idiotic in-chat censorship for non-English non-insulting words and thus my name prevented writing ANYTHING any more in chat.
Used the previous name for 15 years for Dice games, based on names being given when playing cards with high alcohol level...

Mine is just my first name and some random letters. I've always been uncreative at choosing gamer tags and forum names.

@ExxInferis I thought that's where you'd got the name from (or, less likely, that it came from the Zao album named after the film). Really need to watch it again as I've got fond memories too.
Mine is also just my first name with the D being the first letter of my surname. I simply added the _O1 so it sounded like my fav radio programme at the time which was Radio 1. 😃
