Where is China in all this?

Given the current global political atmosphere, it seems bizarre that China seems completely absent.

Will there be Chinese specialists, maps, or at least some weapons and vehicles?

I think that will help the plausibility of the plot and immersion a lot by the addition of some Chinese and European elements.

  • @Gomilend well politics are everywhere, some cant deal with fact that in RL China is becomining No.1 in all fields. Even today when we play bf4 we laugh how Chinese boat is deliberately made in a way that while in combat it is 50% more difficult to repair than US one, even in that time you could feel politics in game in a wrong way.
So maybe even better we dont have China in 2042 as who knows what else they would do :D
Note how there is no Asian dude in 2042, and all other races are presented, while we do have Asian girl 🙂

Can we have for once a game with factions instead of immature cosplay like level attention to details. Real voice lines, not fake ones, not family friendly, not overly theatrical.

  • ya    steam in china  block battlefield4  ,cant buy    , only can buy 1 5 2042

    but origin can got bf4

  • China?  Isn't 128 players enough of a problem???

Then again with the vaporising player base....

@GomilendI wouldn't call it bizarre. It's just a game and a fictional alternate universe. They can make up whatever they want, which is clearly when Battlefield is at it's best. They are adding maps post launch too.

Personally, I could care less where the map is located as long as it's a well designed map. Map design imo hasn't been very good since BF4.

it has nothing to do with that.

the reason they didn't include china is because BF4 got banned in china because the ccp didn't like how they were depicted.  EA isn't going to risk missing out on 1.3B potential customers again.  it is 100% bending the knee to the ccp.

Whole Steam got banned not to long ago so they might as well just go all out, BF4 was the best, they just use this as a lame excuse so they don't have to put the effort in.

  • China is making everything for the best price? They don’t need to fight the war.

@tyl0413 na, hollywood bends the knee too. that's why the taiwan flag on mavrickk's bomber jacket was removed in top gun 2 (many other examples out there too)
