Where is the lore connection to Battlefield 2142?

Title says it all.  Where is it?  I see literally nothing about this game that connects to BF2142.  Even Battlefield 4 Final Stand DLC had all kinds of BF2142 connections:  hover tanks, rail gun snip...

They don't care about world building. The only instance of effort in that context is the opening cutscene.

That is very quickly abandoned by the clone wars and then the awful specialists voicelines.

"The year is 2042. Nations are collapsing. Catastrophic climate change  Money is valueless. People are willing to kill and be killed for resources."

"Hee hee! Did I go too far?!"

Since you put it that way, it does seem like they put maybe 5 minutes of thought into it.

    im glad there isnt anything connecting this trash to 2142.  

    2142 was a actual battlefield game.
