Why do beginners need to use vehicles without Repair System?

(I unlocked all attachments in Solo/Co-op mode.)

Vehicles are very weak until good attachments are unlocked, so beginners can't enjoy vehicles. I think this is the main reason why many beginners hate vehicles.

@MZR_926 It is an incentive to bring a repair tool AND friends.
Because repairing your own stuff not handled by a squad or team mate give you no experience.

@MZR_926 I had the issue (and still do with the Apache) of a lot of unlocks being stuck for some reason. I think it had to do with unlocking in solo/co-op early in 2042's lifecycle. For instance, my Hind's quick repair was stuck, but I had the 50mm cannon. Terrible to use, even as an experienced player.
  • @kregora I think the disadvantages outweigh the advantages. Vehicles have been nerfed because many players hate them.

@MZR_926 many players hate them because vehicles aren't used against other vehicles, they are used to farm infantry kills

@Psubondthat is only an issue with bombers in BF1/BFV because they are too dedicated vehicles.
In 2042 the vehicles engage each other just fine in my experience. Especially if their team provides an opening by making the enemy vehicle spend its defensive abilities.

In 2042, a vehicle user that seems to not engage enemy vehicles (that they can damage) when they find them is a blueberry who basically deprived their team of a vehicle slot.

well, in breakthrough i don't see a lot of vehicle on vehicle combat.  don't get me wrong it happens occasionally but not that much that i can see.  maybe it is going on in the background and i can't see it because of my playstyle

Someone who has never use a type of vehicule, and try to use one in multiplayer, is a noob. He deserv quick death, his team is waiting for someone who can help.

Someone smart, who goes against bots for training and works to be able to help his team on the battlefield, deserv the best. Soo he gets unlocks faster to walk over noobs in multiplayer soon.

I would love Dice do make training for each vehicule MANDATORY before going in multiplayer... But some players would cry loudly in forums because "they can't play for what they have paid".

Soo instead we have natural selection, Smart guys going for training Vs Noobs jumping ingame for ruining their own team.

Dice did it quite well after all, i quite like it.

    ^^

While I agree, the game shouldn't punish people who didn't know you could even unlock everything in a round or two in solo/co-op. And it then punishes the rest of the team when it isn't on their vehicle. It's the worst when someone just uses a vehicle as a taxi to get to a point and gets out. I've taken over so many hinds/vehicles that I was gunning when the driver just abandons it. Then I'm left with a bone-stock vehicle with no repairs and people getting into the chopper/MAV/etc complaining about it.
