@filthy_vegansI don’t think you’re missing something, the GAME is missing something. All the weapons are way more accurate than they should be, at least in game. A DMR in past BF games was more accurate than an assault rifle, with a commensurate range. You could tap fire it pretty quick though for when you got hunted down, so it had the ability to maybe get you out of a jam. Rights now you can snipe with a pistol, an SMG, or any weapon. The LMGs can provide consistent long range fire. Currently there is little reason to equip a DMR.
