100% agree with OP.
SMG's, AR's and LMG's are far too accurate, because of too low recoil or too low spread, or perhaps both.
It's the exact same in BFV.
BF1 did it right, but some high rep players complained about spread being a bad thing, so they just toned it down without increasing the recoil to compensate for it and so you get full auto lasers up to long range, even while strafing (CoD style gunplay).
Current gun balance is pretty bad, if you prefer to be a marksman or sniper.
@KunstulaI disagree on BFVs weapon balancing, I play on PC though.
In BFV the DMRs are very strong and at 50+ meters where they dominate against all automatic weapons.
In BFV, the higher ROF ARs/LMGs/SMGs has plenty of recoil (much more than 2042).
I think BFV has some of the best "feeling" gunplay of any BF-game, at least on PC.Actually had they used the gunplay from BFV instead of this BF1/BF4 mixup, things would probably have been better.
