Why do I have to join a new server every time a round ends in battlefield 2042?
Why must you be this way EA. Please fix this.

Just pointing out how to avoid joining rounds mid match.
EA or Dice have been trying to do away with the browser since they brought the series to consoles and in fact they did just that with BC1 and BC2.
Thankfully they felt enough pressure to bring it back in BF3 so I hope the playerbase keeps the feedback coming to get the browser back in 2042.
Yes it definatley helps but not all the time though
- @twonkydo0 Will give this a try! Have had the situation where I have been put into the same map, three times in a row.
- @Lancelot_du_Lac that won't solve this problem (I already had Renewal 3 times in a row doing so). Leaving the countdown go to the next match just solves the problem to start mid-round, but the map rotation is still random and you can have the same map one after the other... That's why we need a server browser.

It seems for me that they are using a kind of multi cluster sever structure which are hosting server session for each round and when the round ends the server session is closed
When my assumption and observation are true the structure behind this is impressive and very efficient because there are only server sessions active which are needed. So there are many full servers.
but on the other side it lags many QoL features like checking how long a round is running, checking which maps the player has already played and don’t put him on the same map several times in a row and so on.
Yes, a sever browser is a nice feature but related to none permanent servers it only shows you active sessions

Well when i wait for the timer to end, put me back into same map over and over again. Can not tell what the ping or if the server is even in my region as I live in northern canada. I need to see the ping and region i am in to make sure i have the best possible ping going. So need to pick and chose my server. Most of the time squads are always different never same people. I also spend more time waiting to connect to a server then playing and have not been able to get onto a breakthrough server for 3 weeks, just time out every 15 minutes and reconnects me back to the same server with the same people in chat.
convenience is a "legacy feature"
No server browser is what turned me off from battlefront series. Removing features that people want and worked isn't a good idea to remove.
Wait. Are you telling me that people buy installments in a well-established series based off of expectations of previous games and it is not a good idea to remove things that were in said games because people's expectations are dependent on those things?
What a shock!
I worry that there is a "skill based matchmaking system" behind it. But I can't prove that.
