Why do we have to unlock guns and attachments?

This whole bot farming only came about because we have to unlock guns, attachments, and specialists. If we didn't have to unlock everything we paid for. EA wouldn't have had to kill portal. How am I ...

Unlocking weapons by progressing in your level/class has been part of Battlefield games at least since BC2...

And I don't see any problem here.

BF3 did it best, always something to chase, weather it was a new tag for loads of kills, new weapon, new attachment, that game always had something to work for, and none of it behind annoying assignments (well apart from some dlc stuff)
