Classes isn't what separates BF from other shooters. It's the large scale combined arms gameplay that makes battlefield battlefield.

It gives the illusion of group play to brain dead randoms that probably aren't very good let alone decent at the game in the first place. Social features and expanded group play is how you achieve coordination and team play in battlefield. Battlefield is only ever at its best when its an organized group vs organized group. BF2042 doesn't cater to large scale group play. There's only so much a squad of 4 can do in a match. There's no point in going out of your way to play like a "casual sweat lord" when chances are you'll never play the same players again with the way match making works in AoW.

- @FaTaL_DReaMS1 Why do you keep getting this wrong? BF is about loose teamwork. 32 players split up between 5 capture zones and possibly more busy locations doesn't leave a possibly for teamwork like you think it does. BF is about small groups and lone wolves working through slightly organized chaos to win an objective. Forcing everyone to play nice and have their turn with classes and roles, essentially the participation trophy version of BF, that's why you're here complaining about losses.
