Why does this game take so long to update?

I have the same issue. The latest update has already taken more than 2 hours and is still sitting at 91% after which it will verify files probably and take another half an hour or more.
I update other games too, mostly from Steam and they take max 10 minutes to finish, no matter the size of the update, as it downloads quickly.
- I have an i7 Processor, 16GB DDR4 RAM and only a chrome window open. I had left the PC idle just for the update, with chrome closed.
- I have a 2TB SSD with which has space. The drive with games is 90% full though.
- Internet connection is 200 MBps
