Now, that being said, I don't revive because I die half the time because the player wants the death off his stat, and doesnt care about me living through the event.
Here are my opinions about your responsibility to get revived
- Stop requesting it when the guy who killed you is right there
- Ping the enemies in the area
- Accept that you may have died where you cannot safely revive. Release fast, stop begging for someone to die trying.
- If you are revived and the medic is killed, revive them if you can, Do not run off.
When I do revive, 50% of the time, 1 or 4 occurs. Yet in chat, people are constantly whining. I have never played a teamwork designed game where the players did not protect their healers, until this game.
So, unless it is a mission, or youre in my discord channel...... Doctor says youre gonna die.
At first I thought from the thread title that you were saying that you don't revive as a matter of personal policy. But after reading your post I agree. After having worked in the healthcare industry for 40 years as a physical therapist my instinct is to heal and revive, and I am often killed doing it because players lay wanting revival when they shouldn't. For sure players should tap out when killed and they are laying in line of sight of enemies and especially the enemy that just killed the player. Reviving the medic that revived you is the right thing to do unless under fire or there is too much danger, because your death would not help the team win.

Oh I so understand this. I am a former medic. fighting that urge is not easy. I literally have been under fire saving people in my days. No I have to take this stance in a game...... sad.
