Why is everyone complaining so much about the new specialist system?

I really don't understand why people are having such an issue with this new system.  Like ya, I would prefer the old class system but I don't see specialists as that big of an issue. For me though,...

@ninjapenquinuk DICE need to rethink the replica problem. Replicas=Not ok. Similar uniforms=ok.

@Ingeniekey As I already said, you can literally see the same character with different skins in the trailer. Maybe when the game first launches and there aren't many cosmetic options yet, you'll see replicas, but a couple months in, thats not going to be the case.
if anything previous battlefield games are going to have more "replicas" than 2042 will.

    @Neovisi0n So if you can create and change them so much that they aren't able to be replicas, whats the point of them having first names and surnames? The identity is then overtaken by the player and their first name and surname is just a "fifth wheel on the wagon" so to speak.

      @IngeniekeyI've said this multiple times already, In the trailer you can see the same characters with different skins. So yes, it seems like you'll be able to change them so they're not replicas.

      You're right, I haven't played the game yet, but I don't understand how what is likely only going to be a menu UI element to classify a character by a name, is going to pull you out of immersion while in game... This seems like nitpicking to find something to complain about.

        @Neovisi0n It may be nitpicking and I do hope so, but then if the names (first name and surname) drowns in customizable features, why even cling onto them and if I would put myself in the shoes of a game designer, I don't seee the value in it at that point.
