@Neovisi0n So if you can create and change them so much that they aren't able to be replicas, whats the point of them having first names and surnames? The identity is then overtaken by the player and their first name and surname is just a "fifth wheel on the wagon" so to speak.

@IngeniekeyI've said this multiple times already, In the trailer you can see the same characters with different skins. So yes, it seems like you'll be able to change them so they're not replicas.
You're right, I haven't played the game yet, but I don't understand how what is likely only going to be a menu UI element to classify a character by a name, is going to pull you out of immersion while in game... This seems like nitpicking to find something to complain about.
- 5 years ago@Neovisi0n It may be nitpicking and I do hope so, but then if the names (first name and surname) drowns in customizable features, why even cling onto them and if I would put myself in the shoes of a game designer, I don't seee the value in it at that point.

So that they can section the gadgets, add more unique uniforms, make more customization for said uniforms and section each character into a more diverse but similarly structured "assault, engineer, support, recon" system, even if it doesn't specifically categorize them as such.
In terms of customization, this means that not only are you going to have at least 10 different looking people on release, over time, each one of those 10 different options are going to get their own sub options for customization, I can't understand how this at all leads to a replica situation other than the name thing. And ya obviously I haven't played the game, but I've played alot of games with this type of "hero" system and names have never really been a immersion breaking thing, so I can't see why it would be here.
Don't get me wrong, I would actually prefer the class system for reasons I've already stated, but yall seem to be blowing the new system way out of proportion.

I see a lot of players sharing this opinion. I see it as a solid concearn that is valuable to speak up about.
